Revision Policy & Update Copy Service
Revision Policy — Xclicksmax Effective date: 28 November 2025
1. Scope and applicability
-
This Revision Policy applies to all copywriting deliverables provided by Xclicksmax via one‑off projects, the Free Revamp Offer, and subscription plans shown on Xclicksmax.
-
“Copy” includes sales pages and other formats listed on our site (e.g., headlines, emails, ads, website sections, blog posts, video scripts).
2. What counts as a revision vs. a new scope
-
Revisions: Edits that refine the originally agreed brief—voice/tone adjustments, clarity, emphasis, messaging order, factual corrections, CTA strengthening, and moderate length adjustments (±20%).
-
New scope: Requests that materially change the brief—new audience or market, new product/offer, new page/section(s) not in the original scope, length changes beyond ±20%, strategy pivots, or adding research/interviews not initially included. New scope is quoted separately.
3. Included revision rounds
-
One‑off projects (≤1,500 words): Up to 2 revision rounds included if requested within 10 calendar days of first draft delivery.
-
One‑off projects (>1,500 words): Up to 2 revision rounds included if requested within 14 calendar days of first draft delivery.
-
Subscription plan (e.g., 30 copies/month): Each individual piece includes up to 2 revision rounds if requested within 7 calendar days of the draft. Additional rounds or late requests count as a new task in the monthly quota or incur an add‑on fee.
-
Free Revamp Offer (≤1,500 words): 1 revision round within 5 calendar days of the draft. The offer has no monetary value and is not convertible to other services.
4. Turnaround times (standard)
-
First draft (≤1,500 words): 3–5 business days from intake completion (brief + materials + access).
-
First draft (>1,500 and ≤3,000 words): 5–7 business days.
-
Larger pieces or multi‑asset packages: timeline agreed in writing.
-
Revisions: 2–3 business days per round for short pieces; 3–5 business days for longer pieces.
-
Subscription queueing: Pieces are scheduled in your monthly queue; turnaround depends on queue load and timely client feedback.
-
Expedite: Rush options may be available at a surcharge; confirm availability before booking.
5. Client review window and consolidation
-
Please provide consolidated, written feedback per round (tracked changes/comments in Google Docs or a single email/document). Consolidated feedback avoids conflicting instructions and speeds delivery.
-
If we do not receive feedback within the stated window (see Section 3), we may consider the draft accepted and close the task, or re‑open it as a new request/round per your plan.
6. What we need from you
-
Complete, accurate brief; target audience details; product/offer facts; required claims/substantiation; brand voice examples; relevant compliance constraints; examples of tone you like/dislike.
-
Access to prior materials (if we’re revamping) and any legal/industry claims guidelines. Turnaround starts after we have all required inputs.
7. Delivery format
-
Default: PDF or Google Docs with commenting enabled (or editable .docx on request). Copy is delivered as text; design/HTML/CMS placement is not included unless agreed.
-
Light formatting suitable for hand‑off (headings, bullets, CTA callouts) is included. Uploading to your CMS or designing page layouts is out of scope unless scoped as an add‑on.
8. Accuracy, claims, and compliance
-
You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of product claims and for providing substantiation where required (e.g., regulated industries, health/financial claims).
-
We do not provide legal review. If claims require legal sign‑off, please obtain it before publication. We will implement compliant language you provide in revisions.
9. AI‑assisted creation and human oversight
-
Xclicksmax uses AI‑assisted workflows combined with human strategy and editing. All deliverables are reviewed by a human editor for coherence, brand voice, and conversion strategy.
10. Acceptance and hand‑off
-
A draft is considered accepted when you approve it in writing or when the review window elapses without feedback (see Section 5).
-
After acceptance, further changes are treated as new scope (or a fresh task under your subscription).
11. Fair use and limits
-
Revisions are meant to refine the approved brief, not to repeatedly test divergent creative directions within the same scope. If you want multiple creative directions/variants for testing, we’re happy to scope additional versions.
Post‑Project Updates Policy — Xclicksmax
-
Complimentary post‑delivery tweaks (minor)
-
One‑off projects: Within 14 calendar days of acceptance, minor editorial tweaks (typos, small phrasing refinements, link updates, CTA labels) up to 30 minutes are complimentary.
-
Subscription: Minor tweak requests must be raised within 7 calendar days of acceptance; beyond that, they count as a new task or incur a small‑task fee.
2. Performance‑based adjustments
-
If you’re running A/B tests, we can provide one optimization pass per asset (within 30 days of acceptance) based on your test insights, limited to messaging hierarchy and CTA optimization. Deeper repositioning or new angles constitute new scope.
3. Content freshness updates
-
Factual/date updates or product changes after acceptance are out of scope and will be quoted or logged as new tasks in your subscription.
4. Maintenance options
-
Subscription clients can allocate monthly tasks to updates/refreshes of earlier assets.
-
One‑off clients can purchase a maintenance block (e.g., 2–10 hours) for periodic updates at a discounted rate.
5. Communication and response times
-
Channels: Email and Google Docs comments are preferred for clear versioning. If you use a client portal or project board, we will confirm use in the SOW.
-
Response SLA: We aim to respond within 1–2 business days. Complex strategy questions may require 2–3 business days.
-
Calls: By appointment. Summaries and next steps are confirmed in writing after calls.
6. Refunds and cancellations
-
Strategy and copywriting are time‑based professional services. Once work has begun (intake completed and time booked), fees are generally non‑refundable.
-
If you cancel before we start, we’ll refund any unspent amount minus onboarding/admin time (if applicable). For subscriptions, cancellation applies to future billing cycles per your plan’s terms; unused capacity in the current cycle is not refundable but can be reallocated within the cycle.
-
The Free Revamp Offer is complimentary and not convertible to cash or credits.
7. Intellectual property and usage
-
Upon full payment and acceptance, you receive a worldwide, non‑exclusive, perpetual license to use, reproduce, and modify the delivered copy for your business. We reserve the right to reference non‑confidential, published work in our portfolio unless you request confidentiality in writing in advance.
8. Change control (to prevent scope creep)
-
Examples of scope change: new product or audience; adding sections beyond the brief; length expansion >20%; requiring new research/interviews; pivoting strategy after a draft is produced; multiple alternative creative directions for testing.
-
We will flag scope changes early and offer options: reprioritize within your monthly quota, add an extra task, or quote a fixed add‑on.
9. Dependencies and pauses
-
Timelines depend on timely access, assets, and feedback. Pauses over 14 days may require re‑booking time and can extend delivery dates.
10. How “How it works” maps to this policy
-
Step 1: Input → Your complete brief starts the clock.
-
Step 2: Content Creation → We produce the first draft per the scope and timeline above.
-
Step 3: Shape & Shine → Your included revision rounds refine the copy. Variations beyond the round limits or brief require new scope or a fresh task.
